The Yautja, (pronounced Ya-OOT-ja), known colloquially as the Predators or Hunters (By Humans), are an extraterrestrial species characterized by their hunting of other dangerous species for sport and honor, including humans. The Yautja are a sentient, humanoid race that breathe an atmosphere similar to that of Earth's, but possess a level of technological advancement far in excess of anything available to humans. The Predators stalk and kill their prey using a combination of highly advanced technology, such as active camouflage and energy weapons, combined with comparatively primitive traditional weapons, such as blades, spears and nets. The Predators often ritualistically mutilate their prey and usually claim a trophy from their kills. Capable of interstellar travel in star ships, the Predators have hunted on Earth for centuries and have also had prior contact with the Engineers. They have been known to deliberately breed Xenomorphs in order to hunt them, often as part of initiation rituals for young Predators.

Aside from their repeated conflicts with humans, the Predators have notably been associated with Xenomorph XX121, known to them as kiande amedha ("hard meat"), whom they revere as perhaps the most worthy of all prey. They have been known to breed the creatures from captive Queens, employing them in rite-of-passage trials that serve as an initiation ritual for young hunters, and even artificially "seeding" planets with Xenomorphs to Hunt.

Average Life Span - Can live for 100s of years however many do not due to the dangerous lives they live.

Disposition - The Yautja have a Code of Honor that it expects all members of his species to adhere to on pain of not being seen as a "true Yautja" and therefore subject to being destroyed. Therefore most Yautja are molded around that code, being ruthless but honorable, with the exception of Bad Bloods. Aggression and arrogance seems to be innate in Hunters, especially young males.

Natural Abilities:

Claws: +3d6 to punches. Heals three times as fast as a human.
Tough Flesh:
Armour Level of 12.
Armour Protection: Skin will stop up to and including attacks that do the equivalent of 2d6+3/15 damage in a single attack/blast. Attacks that do the equivalent of 1d6x10+10/70 damage or more per single attack/blast only require a successful strike roll against the unit to do damage, ignoring the Armour Level altogether. All other attacks (4d4/16 to 1d6x10+9/69 damage in a single attack/blast) must successfully strike the Yautja and equal/exceed the Armour Level to do damage.
Infra-red Vision: This is their natural vision. Range - equivalent to human vision

Armour Level - 12
Armour Protection - Automatically stops up to and including attacks that do the equivalent of 1d6x10+10/70 damage per single attacks/blast regardless of if a successful strike equals/exceeds the Armour Level. Attacks that do the equivalent of 4d6x10/240 damage or more per single attack/blast only require a successful strike roll against the unit to do damage, ignoring the Armour Level altogether. All other attacks (1d6x10+11/71 to 5d4x10+39/239 damage in a single attack/blast) must successfully strike the unit and equal/exceed the Armour Level to do damage.
Exposure - Neck, Elbows, Hands, Lower Torso, Groin/Hip, Thighs, Feet. All are difficult targets to hit and can only be done so with a directed strike and even then will be a penalty to -2 to -5 on the roll. Consult your GM.

Built In Systems:

Optics: Enhances their innate Infra-red vision better separating ambient heat from living beings. Electromagnetic Spectrum, Ultra-violet Spectrum, and Motion Detection (standard Vision Range of the character). Targeting System gives a +2 to strike with ranged weapons.

Forearm Computer: Comlink with satellite uplink capability to orbiting vessels. Holographic projector. Self destruct system (See below). Audio recorder and playback system. Controls for optic systems. Cloaking Field Controls.

Cloaking Field: This renders the Yautja virtually invisible by bending the light around them to make them blend in with their surroundings. This gives the character a +30% bonus to Espionage skills when prowling or concealing themselves.

Language Translator: Allows the Yautja to better understand and communicate with non-Yautja.

Vocal Mimicry Recorder and Playback System: Allows the Yautja to mimic other beings and animals, usually to lure prey to them.
